Fog is mystery made real….
A blanket that wraps us in safety. It reminds us of how small we are, and the vastness of the universe that surrounds us. It invites us to imagine a world we share together in love and peace. A world that is just one speck in a galactic dimension beyond our comprehension. It is suspended disbelief taking ephemeral form. Step into that fog of cool and the world around you becomes magical, multi-dimensional. It is a world without boundaries, without ego or expectations. Earth and atmosphere become one and remind us that there is more at play here than we can ever know. Cloud nebulas hang in the cosmos millions of light years away. Doors to other dimensions, just waiting to be opened.
Step into a Fog Of Cool, a musical work that explores discovery of new musical forms. Some old. Some new. Jazz, rock, rap, beatnik, chill, a progressive fusion of styles without boundaries. From the title track Fog Of Cool, we step out into the Cosmos, into an unknowable universe. Stop into Frankie’s Tiki Room for a beverage and some local flavor, experience a new take on an old jazz standard Here’s That Rainy Day, before continuing the journey, making the Crossings to other places and times, past galaxies and through nebulas enveloped in a Fog Of Cool that sustains our hope and imagination.
“Until then, just keep walkin’ in a Fog Of Cool.”
